How Echo Works

Simple coordination in three easy steps

1

Create Your Group

Set up takes less than 2 minutes

  1. Sign up with your phone number (coordinator only)
  2. Name your group (e.g., "Sarah's Hospital Updates")
  3. Add family members by phone number
  4. They get an invite via SMS: "Join Sarah's Updates? Reply YES"
  5. They reply YES and they're in—no app, no account needed
2

Send Updates

One message reaches everyone

Send updates through:

  • 📱 SMS: Text your group's number
  • 💻 Web: Use the Echo dashboard (coming soon)

Echo automatically delivers your message to everyone in the group via their preferred method.

3

Receive Replies

Stay connected without the chaos

When family members reply:

  • Their messages come only to you—not to the whole group
  • You can respond privately to each person
  • No notification storms for others
  • Important info stays organized and accessible

Real-World Example

Sarah's Labor & Delivery

Setup (9:00 AM)

Tom creates "Sarah's Labor Updates" group while Sarah is in early labor

Invitations (9:05 AM)

Parents, siblings, close friends get SMS: "Join Sarah's Labor Updates? Reply YES"

12 people join by replying YES

First Update (11:30 AM)

Tom texts: "Epidural done. 6cm dilated. Dr. Johnson says progressing well."

All 12 family members receive it instantly

Replies (11:31-11:35 AM)

Mom, sister, friends reply with encouragement

Only Tom sees these—everyone else just has the update

Final Update (2:47 PM)

Tom: "Baby girl born! 7lbs 4oz. Everyone healthy!"

Joy shared with everyone, no one overwhelmed with messages

Result: Tom sent 3 messages instead of 36 individual texts. Family stayed connected without chaos.
